Dr. McQueen completed the restoration of a historic 120 y.o. building in Jan 2003 housing a state-of-the-art 3,600 sq ft. dental facility in Corinth, MS. The floor plan includes dramatic ceiling variations and details which showcase five treatment rooms with digital radiography, intra-oral cameras and flat panel television monitors. The reception room and Dr McQueen’s private office boast fourteen foot ceilings at the front/south aspect of the building. The original east brick wall in the reception area has been preserved and sealed to add character to the space. Hand-oiled pecan wood was utilized for the trim work, doors, cabinets and high ceilings. The second floor restoration was completed with the construction of four apartments…each having its own style and character.
In 2003, Dr. McQueen was awarded the Mississippi Main Street Association Award of Excellence in Adaptive Re-Use with the restoration/renovation of the 120 y.o. building. CorinthDental was featured as the "office spotlight" in the March 2004 issue of Dental Equipment & Materials and in the "office design" article of the Winter 2004 issue of Sullivan-Schein's SideKick magazine.
